Analog camera

Analog cameras in the world of photography are called for manual cameras whose method of shooting uses roll film and cannot be processed electronically like a digital camera.Analog cameras in the world of photography are designations for manual cameras whose method of shooting uses roll film and cannot be processed electronically like a digital camera.

Analog cameras transfer photographic images to film recording media or photosensitive plates, while digital cameras use image sensors that convert optical images into electronic signals.

Before there was a digital camera, an analog camera was a powerful "weapon" for taking pictures or taking pictures well because it has a very sensitive sensitivity to light, especially sunlight. The image is then produced in analog form, through a chemical process that will produce very clear image quality.

In brief, the process in analog photography is Exposing films with light (capturing images), Developing films (making images recorded permanently on film), and Printing images (transferring images from film to print media, such as film paper).

History of analog camera

Analog cameras are cameras that still use celluloid film in their shooting technique. In the community, this analog camera is usually more familiar with the term film camera. This is due to the use of negative or cliche film on the camera, as a recording or storage media so that it cannot be processed electronically.

Analog cameras have three basic elements, namely optical elements in the form of various lenses, chemical elements in the form of celluloid film, and mechanical elements. In addition, analog cameras require aperture of 1 / f second, so that the captured light can be received by the film into an image.
Basically, an analog camera is a conventional camera that captures images in the form of film media that does not have sensors to create a digital image or do not have "digital functions".
History which is considered as a modern analog camera in photography (at that time) was present around 1981 where the shooting technique could still use celluloid film (cliche / negative film).

The advantages and disadvantages of analog cameras

Film cameras have the advantage of being relatively cheaper when compared to digital cameras of the same quality. The advantages and the reason why many photographers still want to choose is because of the quality of the images they have. The image quality that can be achieved from a film camera is the best and the picture is definitely very clear.

However, buying film rolls and printing results for analog cameras can cost more. The most basic drawback that analog cameras have, is that you have to memorize all camera settings before taking pictures. Different effects on images, the results of which come from developments that also need to be managed further.

Although there are a number of film cameras with automatic features, the majority of cameras on the market are not. The biggest source of complaints is the lack of auto focus features. This is quite inconvenient for photographing moving photo objects or for capturing short moments.

Development of analog cameras:

At present, the use and printing process of images and the cost of using an analog camera are very expensive compared to digital cameras. Analog cameras do not use memory cards, batteries, and their photos cannot be accessed directly through a computer, so many people turn to digital cameras.

However, the trend of analog photography is now rising again. Many photography communities want to feel the feel of "vintage" when taking pictures or or the need to try a photography experience that is different from the mainstream, even though the analog camera trend is difficult to beat the popularity of digital cameras.2

The return of the analog camera trend, it is impossible to win against the current of modernization and will not be possible to dominate again and shift digital photography. Because the digital camera continues to grow massively with a variety of choices provided. Meanwhile, analog cameras have limitations both in terms of scarcity of film roll on the market, to the medium of the camera itself which is more difficult to find than digital cameras.
